We Give Back
Neighborhood Outreach Dinner
Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church
Donna Carrillo has been involved with the Neighborhood Outreach Dinner for the last seven years. The organization provides a home cooked meal for the homeless and working poor along with a message for their souls. A message is preached at 6:15pm and the meal is served every Thursday at 6:30pm.
In the early years, she raised the support, bought the food and organized the meal. Four years ago, Holy Trinity Presbyterian adopted the ministry to provide access to the food bank at Feeding America Tampa Bay which requires its community partners be qualified as non-profit organizations.
Now her husband Tony goes to the food bank on Tuesdays to get supplies and Donna decides the menu based on what is on hand. The goal is to prepare a meal similar in quality to eating at her home. Lots of fresh produce is used because fresh produce is free from the food bank. Our guests really love their veggies especially salad.
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are prepared to go. Other goodies such as protein bars, cookies, chocolates and fresh fruit are provided when available.
The Neighborhood Outreach Dinner has the reputation as one of the best free meals in Tampa.

Alex's Lemonade Stand
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.
Every day, 700 children worldwide are diagnosed with childhood cancer. Yet, childhood cancer research only receives less than 4-percent of the National Cancer Institute's annual budget. It is up to all of us to fund research and find cures, so that someday these children are cured.
ALSF and its supporters are propelling the world towards a future without childhood cancer. From hosting stands and events to joining the One Cup at a Time Club, everyone can make a difference and help find cures for childhood cancer.
